Illness Policy

We follow the policies of local public schools. If your child has a fever they should be fever free (without fever reducing medication) before returning to playschool. If your child vomits or has diarrhea they may return 24 hours after vomiting or diarrhea subsides.

We understand that children get colds. As long as your child is fever free and and up to playing, they should come to playschool. The risk of spreading germs is significantly lower in our outdoor setting.

If someone in the family tests positive for COVID your child may come to playschool as long as they do not have symptoms.

Weather Policy

We strongly believe that there is no bad weather, only poor gear choices, in that spirit Wonder Tree programs are held rain or shine. We will however cancel for dangerous weather. We use guidelines put out by the states of Wisconsin and Iowa to guide our decision making when the weather is cold. We also monitor the group’s play closely when the weather is very hot. On these days we make water play a priority, shade ample, take breaks and refill water bottles often.

Temperatures, air quality and storms are carefully tracked each day. If there is lightning during storms, groups will take shelter when lightning strikes within 10 miles.

*In the event that we need to cancel our group due to dangerous weather, which may include dangerously high winds, extreme temperatures, poor air quality, electrical storms or other unforeseen obstacles we will alert you by 8am that morning via the BAND group.

**In the event that playschool cancels more than twice in a section, ie more than twice for our M/W group and T/Th we will hold a make-up session for the third cancellation. Wondertree & Me classes will hold one make-up session in the event a class is cancelled for a weather related matter. No make-up days will be scheduled for summer camps. Wonder Tree Playschool reserves the right to either add a week to a session, make it up at the end of the year or on an alternate date or time, i.e. afternoons, Fridays or Saturdays.

Refund Policy

We strive to ensure that all children and families are supported in our program. If after the first week you feel like this program does not meet the needs of your child, a refund for the remainder of the season minus the materials fee will be issued. Refunds must be requested in writing no later than the Friday of the first week of your selected session.
