Wondertree Trails Camp
This 100% outdoor camp honors the nostalgic magic of outdoor play—climbing logs, building forts from sticks, exploring trails, observing wildlife and using their creativity to compose art. Like our year-round playschool, this camp is designed around playful, child-led exploration where curiosity fuels learning and connection.
Children are free to move, explore, create, and problem-solve together in the beautiful outdoor classrooms of Croft Farm Trails. Whether they’re building with natural materials, navigating gentle climbers, or collaborating with friends on an imaginative project, the environment invites joyful movement and cooperative play. Campers participate in process art activities that encourage creativity and sensory exploration. Guided by facilitators, children use both brought and found materials from nature to express ideas, experiment with texture and color, and let their own artistic instincts shine—where the process is the reward, not the product.
Whether your child is an avid nature lover or a curious explorer ready to fall in love with the outdoors, this camp offers a vibrant, nurturing place where wonder grows.

Cheetah Community Camp
Cheetah Community Camp offers tweens the space to stretch into who they are becoming — grounded in nature, supported by community, and empowered to find their place in wider world.
In the wild, cheetahs begin life deeply connected to their mothers, learning through observation and play. As they grow, they gradually gain independence — testing their speed, strength, instincts, and awareness of the world around them. Cheetah Camp honors that same developmental moment in childhood. Cheetah Camp was named by one of our longtime Wondertree students — a child who had grown through our playschool years and was ready for something more. His favorite animal, the cheetah perfectly captures this group and its goals
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, campers gather in the woods of Crows Woods in Haddonfield, immersing themselves in nature through Wondertree’s signature play-based approach — thoughtfully adapted for older children. Here, the woods become a place for: fort building and collaborative engineering + problem solving, process art using natural and mixed media materials, observation of native plants, wildlife, and exploration. Campers are trusted with more voice and agency in shaping their days.
Wednesdays shift from forest to community. Campers step into the wider world — learning how to navigate and participate in it with growing independence. Activities may include: using the local library as researchers and independent readers, navigating downtown spaces respectfully and confidently, interacting with local businesses, practicing real-world problem solving and communication, learning to understand and use local transit systems.
These experiences are carefully scaffolded by our seasoned and dedicated camp leaders, who provide supervision and support when needed — while intentionally stepping back to allow campers to build autonomy and confidence.
***Participation in this program requires mandatory attendance of a one-time parent meeting held virtually. The meeting will take place the first week of May with details to be provided upon registration.

Wondertree Play Camp
We are thrilled to be back for our seventh summer providing local children with the opportunity to play outside, explore local greenspaces, and participate in rich process art experiences — all while building community and strong social skills!
Each week, campers explore local greenspaces where they climb, build, dig, observe, and imagine together. Nature becomes both backdrop and teacher. Children might collaborate on fort structures, design imaginative worlds from sticks and fabric, observe insects and seasonal changes, or invent group games that evolve over the course of the summer. Outdoor time is generous and unhurried, allowing ideas to deepen and friendships to grow.
There is also ample time for true free play — the kind that builds negotiation skills, empathy, leadership, and problem-solving. Our experienced and nurturing staff guide social interactions with a light but attentive touch, helping children develop the tools they need to build healthy relationships beyond their neighborhood schools.
